DRAGONFLY FARM

RIDING SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our riding school proudly serves as a cornerstone of the local equestrian community, with a legacy spanning over 2 decades of fostering a passion for horsemanship and excellence in riders of all levels. We take pride in offering more than just riding lessons; we provide an immersive experience that nurtures both skill and character.

Our team of top-level coaches, each a seasoned professional with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the equestrian world. Whether you're a novice rider just starting out, or a committed athlete looking to take the next steps towards your goals, our coaches are dedicated to guiding you on your journey, tailoring their instruction to suit your individual goals and aspirations.

One of the unique aspects of our riding school is our team of exceptional school horses and ponies. With forever rising costs of purchasing and caring for horses, we are proud to be one of the very few equestrian programs that continues to offer quality horses and ponies for use in our program. Our school horses are not only exceptional teachers, but are competitive veterans in our sport. Many of our horses have been with us for years, and have their own specialty in our program. We work as a team to train and develop riders through the levels.

Our riding school offers riders the opportunity to learn and test through the Equestrian Canada Rider Level program. This program offers education not only in riding skills, but stable management, horsemanship, and theory as well, producing well rounded equestrians. This program offers rider accreditation, high school credits, and can even lead to coaching certification.

In addition, riders may also have the opportunity to attend local horse shows, clinics, and educational events to further develop their riding.

MEET OUR COACHES

Lindsay Legroulx

HEAD TRAINER/PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Lindsay has had a passion for horses as long as she can remember. She always knew she would grow up to be a professional horsewoman, and took every opportunity to get there along the way. After starting her career in 2003,

she has since developed countless horses and riders to the top of the sport in the Grand Prix Jumper Ring, International Hunter Derbies, and CET Equitation.

Lindsay loves working with horses and riders of all ages and levels, but her true passion is taking highly ambitious juniors to the top level of sport. From forming the dream, mapping out the steps, selecting the right horse, and forging the path forward, she has a special way of  helping riders achieve even their wildest dreams.

Richelle Cornell

HEAD RIDER/TRAINER

Richelle has been involved in horses her whole life, growing up through the Pony Club program, she then travelled abroad gathering a wealth of knowledge learning from some of the best in the industry.

After a short time away from horses, Richelle returned with an ambition and fire to get back in the ring and climb the ranks to the top of the sport. She has since partnered with private owners to develop top prospects from Europe with great success.

Richelle also has a great passion for teaching and inspiring both young riders just getting in to the sport, as well as adults looking to find their way back to horses. Her heart is all in, and it's felt by every rider she teaches, and horse she rides.
